About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Lead player-centric feature design from problem definition through concepting to final release. Stay accountable for the design choices within your team.
- Contribute to and uphold the established creative vision and strategy.
- Turn player feedback, insights, and data into actionable design decisions leading to measurable outcomes.
- Create clear, concise documentation and artifacts to explain design rationale and intent, as well as enable smooth implementation.
- Collaborate across disciplines, areas, and teams to refine design solutions, enhance accessibility, and ensure alignment.
- Represent and champion our game design craft to build shared understanding.
Skills to create thrills:
- Experience working on live games, ideally mobile free-to-play, with deep knowledge of casual gameplay mechanics and player motivations within this space.
- Proven ability to design viable core gameplay loops and connecting meta systems or features, with strong analytical and intuitive skills.
- Communicate designs clearly and efficiently through artefacts such as presentation decks, visual one-pagers, mockups, written documents, or prototypes.
- Demonstrated ownership of the entire design process, including problem definition, exploration, concepting, production and implementation, player testing, iteration, and final delivery.
- Clear written and verbal communication. Work closely with stakeholders across disciplines to align on goals, clarify priorities, and keep teams informed as designs evolve.
- Data-informed decision-making using qualitative and quantitative insights; experience operating within agile product development.
- Request and synthesize feedback, respond quickly to pivots and changing priorities, and balance independent work with effective cross-functional collaboration.
