We are JobVFX ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), operating the website jobvfx.com and any related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (collectively, the "Services").

These Legal Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and JobVFX, concerning your access to and use of the Services. You agree that by accessing the Services, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
We reserve the right to make changes or modifications to these Legal Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of these Legal Terms. It is your responsibility to periodically review these Legal Terms to stay informed of updates. Your continued use of the Services after the date such revised Legal Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

1. OUR SERVICES
JobVFX is an online job board platform dedicated to the visual effects industry. Our Services include:
- Browsing and searching job listings for VFX roles including compositing, FX, lighting, rigging, animation, matte painting, pipeline, and related positions
- Studio and company profiles with open-role information
- Filtering and discovery tools to help candidates find relevant positions
- A newsletter through which subscribers receive curated job listings and industry updates
JobVFX acts solely as a platform intermediary. We do not employ candidates, guarantee employment, guarantee the accuracy of job listings, or participate in the hiring process in any way. Employment decisions are made exclusively by the employers who post listings on our platform.
The information provided through our Services is not intended for distribution to or use by any person or entity in any jurisdiction where such use would be contrary to law or regulation. Those who access the Services from other locations do so on their own initiative and are solely responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Our intellectual property
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all source code, design, functionality, software, website layouts, text, graphics, and logos (collectively, the "Content"), as well as the trademarks, service marks, and brand elements contained therein (the "Marks").
Our Content and Marks are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
The Content and Marks are provided through the Services "AS IS" for your personal, non-commercial use only. Subject to your compliance with these Legal Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Services and view or download Content solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
Except as set out in this section, no part of the Services and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, encoded, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose whatsoever, without our express prior written permission.
Any breach of these Intellectual Property Rights will constitute a material breach of our Legal Terms and your right to use our Services will terminate immediately.
Employer-submitted content
Job listings, company descriptions, and other content submitted by employers remain the intellectual property of those employers. By submitting content for publication on our platform, employers grant JobVFX a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and reproduce that content on the Services for the purpose of operating the platform. This licence terminates when the listing is removed.
3. USER REPRESENTATIONS
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:
- You have the legal capacity to agree to and comply with these Legal Terms
- You are not a minor in the jurisdiction in which you reside, or if you are a minor, you have received parental or guardian consent to use the Services
- You will not access the Services through automated or non-human means, whether through a bot, script, or otherwise, except as expressly permitted by us in writing
- You will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
- Your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation
- All information you provide to us is true, accurate, current, and complete
4. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
You may not access or use the Services for any purpose other than that for which we make the Services available. As a user of the Services, you agree not to:
- Systematically retrieve data or other content from the Services to compile, directly or indirectly, a database, directory, or collection without our written permission
- Post, submit, or transmit false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive content of any kind
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Harass, abuse, intimidate, threaten, or harm any other user or our staff
- Send unsolicited communications, spam, or bulk messages to candidates, studios, or other users via information found on the Services
- Use information obtained from the Services to contact job seekers or studios for purposes unrelated to legitimate employment
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Services
- Upload or transmit viruses, Trojan horses, malware, or any other disruptive code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Services or its related systems
- Use any spider, scraper, robot, automated browser, or other data-mining tool to access the Services without our written consent
- Copy, adapt, decompile, or reverse engineer any software that forms part of the Services
- Use the Services in any way that disparages, harms, or tarnishes our reputation or the reputation of the Services
- Use the Services to compete with us or operate a competing job board using Content sourced from the Services
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right
5. EMPLOYER LISTINGS AND CONTENT
Studios and companies that submit job listings for publication on JobVFX ("Employers") agree to the following:
- All job listings submitted must be for genuine, bona fide employment opportunities
- Listings must contain accurate, complete, and current information including role title, responsibilities, location, and application instructions
- Employers must not post fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, or illegal listings
- Employers must comply with all applicable employment laws in the jurisdictions in which they are hiring, including but not limited to laws prohibiting discrimination based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, national origin, or any other protected characteristic
- Employers are responsible for updating or requesting removal of listings when positions are filled or otherwise no longer available
- Employers must keep contact and application information accurate and functional
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to refuse, edit, or remove any listing that we determine violates these Legal Terms, applicable law, or our content standards. We are not obligated to review listings for accuracy and are not liable for inaccurate or misleading employer content.
JobVFX does not endorse any employer, studio, or job listing. Inclusion on our platform does not constitute a recommendation or verification of any employer's legitimacy, reputation, or hiring practices.
6. JOB APPLICATIONS
Where the Services facilitate job applications:
- Applications and application materials are transmitted directly to the Employer, not to JobVFX
- We do not review, store, process, or retain application materials once they are submitted to an Employer
- We are not a party to any application, interview, or hiring process
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any materials you submit to Employers
- You should review each Employer's own privacy policy and terms before submitting any application
- We strongly encourage you to independently verify the legitimacy of any employer before sharing personal information or attending any interview
JobVFX assumes no responsibility or liability for any aspect of the application process, employment decisions, or any outcomes resulting from interactions between candidates and Employers facilitated through our Services.
8. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services that are not owned or controlled by us, including:
- Employer websites and career pages
- Job application portals operated by third parties
- Social media platforms
- Other third-party tools we reference or integrate
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, terms of service, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We do not warrant, endorse, or assume responsibility for any product or service offered by a third party accessible through our Services.
The inclusion of any link to a third-party website does not constitute our endorsement of that website. You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused by your use of or reliance on any third-party content, goods, or services.
We strongly advise you to read the terms and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services you visit.
9. SERVICES MANAGEMENT
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:
- Monitor the Services for violations of these Legal Terms
- Take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates the law or these Legal Terms, including without limitation reporting such a person to law enforcement authorities
- Refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable any content we determine violates these Legal Terms or applicable law
- Remove from the Services any content that is excessive in size or burdensome to our systems
- Otherwise manage the Services in a manner designed to protect our rights and property and facilitate the proper functioning of the platform
10. TERM AND TERMINATION
These Legal Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use the Services.
WITHOUT LIMITING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO, IN OUR SOLE DISCRETION AND WITHOUT NOTICE OR LIABILITY, DENY ACCESS TO AND USE OF THE SERVICES (INCLUDING BLOCKING CERTAIN IP ADDRESSES) TO ANY PERSON FOR ANY REASON OR FOR NO REASON, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION FOR BREACH OF ANY REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR COVENANT CONTAINED IN THESE LEGAL TERMS OR OF ANY APPLICABLE LAW OR REGULATION.
If we restrict or terminate your access to our Services, we reserve the right to take appropriate legal action, including without limitation pursuing civil, criminal, and injunctive redress.
11. MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the content of the Services at any time or for any reason at our sole discretion without notice. We have no obligation to update any information on our Services.
We cannot guarantee that the Services will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other technical issues or need to perform maintenance, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. We reserve the right to suspend, discontinue, or otherwise modify the Services at any time without notice to you.
You agree that we have no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by your inability to access or use the Services during any downtime, maintenance, or discontinuance. Nothing in these Legal Terms obligates us to maintain and support the Services or to supply any corrections, updates, or releases.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Legal Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. To the extent that any disputes arise in connection with these Legal Terms, the parties irrevocably agree that the courts of the applicable jurisdiction shall have jurisdiction to resolve such disputes.
13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Informal Negotiations
To expedite resolution and reduce the cost of any dispute, controversy, or claim related to these Legal Terms (each, a "Dispute"), both parties agree to first attempt to negotiate any Dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days before initiating formal proceedings. Such informal negotiations commence upon written notice from one party to the other.
Restrictions
Any Dispute between the parties shall be resolved on an individual basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) no Dispute shall be joined or consolidated with any other proceeding; (b) there is no right or authority to arbitrate any Dispute on a class-action basis; and (c) there is no right or authority to bring any Dispute as a representative action on behalf of the general public.
Exceptions
The following Disputes are excluded from the informal negotiation process above: (a) Disputes seeking to enforce or protect intellectual property rights; (b) Disputes related to allegations of theft, piracy, or invasion of privacy; and (c) any claim for injunctive relief. Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.
14. CORRECTIONS
There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including in relation to job listings, studio information, descriptions, and other content. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
15. DISCLAIMER
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES AND YOUR USE THEREOF, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT:
- THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY JOB LISTINGS, STUDIO PROFILES, OR OTHER CONTENT ON THE SERVICES
- THE LEGITIMACY, FINANCIAL CONDITION, OR HIRING PRACTICES OF ANY EMPLOYER LISTED ON THE SERVICES
- WHETHER ANY CANDIDATE WILL BE HIRED OR ANY POSITION WILL BE FILLED
- THE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OF THE SERVICES
- THE CONTENT OF ANY THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES OR SERVICES LINKED FROM OUR PLATFORM
JOBVFX IS A PLATFORM ONLY. ALL EMPLOYMENT AND HIRING DECISIONS ARE MADE SOLELY BY EMPLOYERS AND ARE ENTIRELY OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.
16. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL JOBVFX, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities
- Damages arising from your reliance on any job listing, employer representation, or content on the Services
- Damages arising from any employment decision, hiring outcome, or interaction with any Employer
- Damages arising from any unauthorised access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
- Damages arising from interruption or cessation of the Services
- Damages arising from any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Services by any third party
NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR, IF NO AMOUNT HAS BEEN PAID, TO £100 (OR EQUIVALENT LOCAL CURRENCY).
Certain jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. If these laws apply to you, some or all of the above limitations may not apply, and you may have additional rights.
17. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JobVFX and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or relating to:
- Your use of or access to the Services
- Your breach of these Legal Terms
- Any breach of your representations and warranties under these Legal Terms
- Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights
- Any job listing, application, or other content you submit through the Services
- Any harmful or fraudulent act you commit in connection with the Services
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we reserve the right to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter for which you are required to indemnify us, at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims. We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of any such claim upon becoming aware of it.
18. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS AND SIGNATURES
Visiting the Services, subscribing to our Newsletter, submitting job listings, and contacting us by email constitute electronic communications. You consent to receive electronic communications from us, and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing.
You hereby agree to the use of electronic records and communications in connection with your use of the Services.
19. MISCELLANEOUS
These Legal Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and JobVFX with respect to your use of the Services and supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties relating to the Services.
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Legal Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. These Legal Terms operate to the fullest extent permissible by law. We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time without notice.
If any provision or part of a provision of these Legal Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision is deemed severable from these Legal Terms and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
No joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship is created between you and JobVFX as a result of these Legal Terms or your use of the Services.
These Legal Terms do not confer any third-party beneficiary rights.
