About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Work closely under the direction of the game’s meta art director to develop in-game content that aligns with the project's objectives, most importantly for character presentation in the meta of the game.
- Set up complete 3D meta scenes in-game, including characters, environments, cameras, lighting, textures, and VFX.
- Create 3D, 2D, and VFX art for the game’s meta where required.
- Implement and optimize 3D art, 2D art, and animation into the game where required.
- Test, evaluate and provide feedback on tools and pipelines designed for developing the game’s meta.
- Proactively engage with the planning for the game, ensuring your art is delivered according to the game’s needs and that updates and dependencies are clearly communicated.
- Work with all crafts needed to ensure art is delivered to a specification that offers great technical performance, within the required technical budgets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient in crafting high-quality 3D, 2D, and VFX assets and implementing them into Unity.
- Experience in how content fits into the production of Unity game development in collaboration with other disciplines, especially visual development, tech art, graphics, and gameplay.
- Highly experienced with game art pipelines and workflows.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to work within an established art style when creating art for the game.
- In-depth understanding of fundamentals for 3D and 2D asset creation and real-time lighting such as PBR.
- In-depth knowledge of industry leading applications:
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
- Maya, Max, and Z-brush (Maya preferred)
- Unity Editor and Tools
- In-depth knowledge of technical constraints, optimization, and implementation techniques for 3D, 2D, and animation artwork.
