What You Will Do

  • System architecture: Lead the design of systems across the game team, ensuring all features are cohesive and aligned with the game's core and meta‑loops. Build systems that translate directly into new features or rebalance existing ones to improve engagement.
  • Cross‑functional synergy: Act as the primary bridge between the economy, product, and game design teams. Collaborate closely with Game Designers to ensure feature complementarity and work with Product Managers to align design with business goals.
  • LiveOps & Meta‑Loops: Focus on the meta‑loops as the core supporting structure of the game. Collaborate with the Product Performance team to tune Live Ops strategy, ensuring seasonal content and events drive meaningful progression and align with the overall game economy system.
  • Technological Innovation: Spearhead the adoption and direction of the latest technology and AI‑driven methodologies to translate complex systems into actionable economy tools and simulations.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in mobile free‑to‑play system design, with a proven track record of designing and maintaining complex economies in high‑growth environments.
  • Experience with games featuring layered progression systems, such as casual action‑combat or Real‑Time Strategy (RTS) card battlers titles is highly preferred.
  • Strategic modeling skills: Advanced proficiency in mathematical modeling and simulation using Excel, Google Sheets, or any tool of choice. Comfortable predicting the impact of features on game balance and player behavior through data‑informed simulations.
  • Systems thinking: Strong ability to visualize and document the “big picture” of how various game systems interact. Capable of translating high‑level product goals into detailed technical specifications.
  • Clear communication: Mastery in articulating complex system design concepts to diverse stakeholders. Able to influence the product roadmap with innovative, data‑driven design proposals.
  • Tech‑savvy: Deep interest in the intersection of design and technology, including the use of AI for automation and the development of internal design tools to streamline workflows.
