About the Role
About the Role:
Brown Bag Films is a creatively driven animation studio passionate about producing high-quality content for kids and families. We're looking for a Storyboard Revisionist to deliver high-quality on-schedule storyboard revision panels of assigned series to Production and Post Production departments.
Please note this studio operates on a hybrid model, with two days per week required in the studio.
Fixed-Term, 9-12 month contract (depending on project) based in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
- Respond efficiently to notes and translate revisions during storyboard review and animatic process
- Proactively communicate regularly with Director and Post Production to keep the department updated on progress and delivery deadline
- Proactively communicate with the Previz department as needed
- Provide accurate time bids
- Undertake revisions and update revisions tracker
- Email clear approvals communications for Director and Post Production
- Adhere to the quality and style of the show and make sure it is consistently achieved in drawings
- Ensure all the required reference material is available to allow for success
- Organise and update the storyboard production folders regularly
- Provide feedback to Production on recurring issues regarding board deliveries and identify solutions
Requirements:
Knowledge
- Good understanding of acting and animation posing
- Good understanding of cinematography, staging and composition
- Appreciation of production schedule and deadlines
Experience
- 3D animation experience (desirable)
- Background in producing storyboard revisions on several previous productions successfully
- Track record of working effectively with production and Director teams
- Demonstrable passion for storytelling
- Experienced in digital drawing techniques
Technical Skills
- Excellent drawing skills
- Ensure the quality and consistency of the project's vision and style in all revised storyboards
- Ability to draw to a high quality within tight deadlines
- Ability to translate Director's creative vision
- Ability to interpret script and translate it into visual form
- Ability to respond efficiently to notes and take creative direction & feedback
- Strong composition skills
- Must be able to use digital software such as Storyboard Pro and Photoshop
- Animation Qualification (desirable)
Additional Info:
- Open to EU candidates only
- Must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract
- Salary: €33,000 - €36,000 per annum
