About the Role
What you will do:
- Lead and execute strategic QA initiatives, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality objectives are consistently achieved.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of testing KPIs and reporting standards across all projects, and drive improvements around the quality metrics tracked
- Actively contribute to iterating on the design of the QA OS
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to build action plans aimed at improving the execution of the entire QA pipeline.
- Be the main Central QA POC and help drive the call QA pipeline.
- Champion transformation and collaboration across multiple teams,and continuous improvement.
- Build action plans in collaboration with internal andution partners, to level up the execution of end to end QA pipelines
- Drive the plans, and continuously assess risks and define necessary mitigation plans leading expected outcomes.
- Ensure the consistent implementation of testing strategies, KPIs, and reporting standards across all projects.
- Advance the adoption of automation, AI-driven testing, and lead QA process and workflow transition through AI adoption, and support QA peers through their new AI responsibilities.
- Actively contribute to iterating on the design of the QA Operating System and processes
- Work with trusted External QA Partners to improve the quality and variety of the services performed, and iterate to grow impactful and relevant external QA teams that work with the game teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, lessons learned, and the application of industry best practices.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability and shared responsibility for quality at every level.
- Build and train QA communities of practice, promoting shared learning and professional growth.
- Champion quality as a core organizational value, partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Continuously enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness by evaluating current QA practices and implementing new strategies.
- Act as an advocate and spokesperson for QA & Deployment, clearly communicating risks, issues, successes, and improvements to stakeholders.
- Contribute to performance evaluations by providing objective, constructive feedback that supports both individual and process development.
- Establish and refine communication and knowledge-sharing processes between internal and external teams.
- Help manage external QA budgets to ensure teams operate efficiently, effectively, and effectively with measurable impact.
- Ensure effective reporting and coordination across distributed teams, maintaining clarity and alignment across all QA-related functions.
What you will need:
- Degree level education or equivalent experience.
- Passion for mobile and console/PC games, with proven experience working on games as a live service.
- Experience with DevOps QA and/or LiveOps QA
- Ability to generate impact and make progress through influence
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects or in a central capacity
- Proven ability to oversee and manage projects with complex setups
- Strong accountability in observing deadlines and engagements
- Minimum 5 years of QA experience in a game development environment with proven experience in management.
- Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to collaborate with senior management
- Ability to identify risks and changes needed and to execute solutions, with appropriate sense of urgency.
- Strong and demonstrated knowledge of project management, software development methodologies, QA best practices
- Proficient with setting up and navigating through JIRA, TestRail, Google Docs, Google Sheets/Excel, and a build distribution management system
