We are looking for a CG Production Manager to manage CG schedules and resource planning, ensuring the successful delivery of asset production milestones.

Role Title: CG Production Manager Reporting to: CG Producer

  • To manage the CG team’s adherence to asset design & build project schedules and CG resource plan.

  • Resource plans
  • Effective, managed solutions to production challenges
  • Production reports for CG Producer and Director of CG.

Measurements: How we measure it

  • On time delivery of CG department’s weekly/monthly task quotas
  • Observance of agreed production workflows
  • Feedback from Director of CG & CG Producer
  • Project team review feedback
  • Team development & sustainability.

Key Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing:

  • Managing the CG production team ensuring their implementation of:
    • Effective resource allocation to tasks
    • Task scheduling and delivery to agreed deadlines
    • Daily reports, capturing metrics, note taking and time logging
  • Monitoring time logging (STEVE) against resource plan.
  • Planning appropriate resources in line with the project’s schedules and budgets; managing impact to this plan because of breaches in agreed assumptions or estimated task time bids.
  • Leading the department’s resource allocation and crew planning process in order to meet monthly targets and the project’s cg production schedules
  • Collaborating with HODs and Department Supervisors on resource and talent requirements to meet current and future needs.
  • Running effective weekly production meetings with project team in order to optimise clear communication on the status of the CG department deliverables.
  • Coordinating inputs from CG Production and submitting monthly CG status reports (BART etc.).
  • Collaborating with CG producer, Director of CG & pipeline team to develop new production management workflow tools.
  • Conducting regular one on ones with the CG Production Coordinator team and submitting quarterly performance reviews.

Key Requirements: Things that help you do your job (what is essential and what is desirable)

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of asset schedules and production milestones; project management techniques.

Experience:

  • Extensive and broad experience in managing 2 or more long-form Film/TV and/or Animation productions.
  • Strong experience in managing scheduling and leading production teams across multiple departments.
  • Experience in communicating with client and/or vendors.
  • Strong experience with asset tracking/database systems (e.g. Shotgun, F track).

Technical skills:

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Office and/or use of Google Suite, in particular Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong expertise using asset tracking software e.g. Autodesk’s Shotgun, F-Track.

The salary range for this role is $75,000 – $90,000 per year.
