About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain high-quality 3D art assets for video games.
- Collaborate with the art team to ensure visual consistency and adherence to project style guides.
- Optimize 3D models and textures for real-time rendering engines.
- Work with technical artists to troubleshoot and resolve asset integration issues.
- Participate in team reviews and provide constructive feedback on art assets.
- Meet project deadlines and milestones as set by the lead artist or producer.
- Stay updated on industry trends and tools to continuously improve art quality.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Game Art, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a 3D artist in the video game industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
- Strong understanding of PBR workflows and texturing tools like Substance Painter or Photoshop.
- Solid portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling, texturing, and game-ready assets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 or Unity.
- Knowledge of ZBrush for high-poly sculpting.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Perforce or Git.
- Understanding of rigging and animation principles.
- Experience with procedural content generation tools (e.g., Houdini).
- Shipped at least one AAA title on PC or consoles.
