Pipeline Developer
Contract type: Temporary contract - 10 months Work time: Full time Location: Santa Cruz de Tenerife (On-site preferred; remote possible with Tenerife residence registration "empadronamiento") Start date: From 01.06.2026 Duration: Maximum 10-months, to start as soon as possible.
Company Description: ATLANTIS ANIMATION is an animation studio based in Tenerife, Canary Islands. It combines creative talent and technology to produce high quality animated series and feature films, including "Tara Duncan" and "Miraculous Ladybug season 5" for Disney. The studio is currently involved in the new project "Messi and the Giants", produced by Sony Music Vision, Sony Pictures Television Kids, and Leo Messi Management, and broadcast by Disney.
Job Description: The Senior Pipeline Developer will support CG workflow development across departments, improve pipeline tools, and provide day-to-day support to artists. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with technical and non-technical team members. A strong hands-on experience in Houdini, Nuke, Python scripting, and USD-based pipeline workflows is specifically required.
Main Responsibilities:
- Interact with the Head of Pipeline, CG Supervisor, Production Managers, and Artists for technical guidance.
- Attend technical meetings to communicate about development tasks.
- Maintain regular communication with your team, the pipeline department, and your assigned production.
- Provide tools and day-to-day technical support to artists (project level).
- Help develop pipeline features under supervision, contributing to company-wide workflows (core level).
- Document new and existing workflows for technical and creative teams.
Requirements:
- Level: Senior, minimum +5 years of professional experience.
- Advanced Python scripting for pipeline/tool development.
- Strong production experience with Houdini.
- Solid knowledge of Nuke pipeline integration.
- Experience working with USD-based pipelines is required.
- Excellent communication skills with artists (verbal and written), understanding feature requests and resolving day-to-day production issues.
- Ability to gather requirements and work under guidance to implement solutions.
- No autonomous architectural decision-making is expected for this role.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced / time-critical environments.
- Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and organized.
- Understanding and speaking English is essential.
- EU/Spanish work permit required.
Software Stack: Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Arnold, Nuke, Houdini, Toon Boom Harmony. Experience with Maya’s API is required; knowledge of other DCCs is a plus but not mandatory.
Additional Skills (Plus):
- Experience with ShotGrid (Flow) or other Asset Management.
Compensation (Gross/year): The provided salary expectation ranges are: Inferior than 15,000€, 15,000€ - 20,000€, 20,000€ - 25,000€, 25,000€ - 30,000€, 30,000€ - 35,000€, 35,000€ - 40,000€, 40,000€ - 45,000€, 45,000€ - 50,000€, 50,000€ - 55,000€, 55,000€ - 60,000€, 60,000€ - 65,000€, 65,000€ - 70,000€, 70,000€ - 75,000€, 75,000€ - 80,000€, 80,000€ - 85,000€, Superior than 85,000€.
