Line Producer
Overview
WildBrain Studios is looking for a Line Producer (Digital) to join our team! Reporting to the Director of Digital Production, in this role, you will oversee all aspects of production planning, whether a project is produced fully in-house, outsourced, or a hybrid. You will own production oversight across all phases from scripts, voice records, storyboards, animation, and post-production through final delivery. As part of the Digital Team, you may be required to balance and actively manage multiple projects and/or clients simultaneously. You must have strong knowledge of 2D and CG animation production pipelines. Additionally, familiarity with live-action and stop‑motion production will be an asset, supporting informed planning and problem-solving across diverse production models.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day production execution in partnership with the Director of Digital Production, taking responsibility for maintaining schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with creative and operational goals.
- In collaboration with the Director of Digital Production, development, and technical teams, drive the planning and implementation of production resources and strategies necessary to support the project.
- Oversee the script process, including clearances, script meetings, delivery timelines, and related budgets, ensuring accountability across stakeholders, in collaboration with the Director of Digital Production.
- Manage voice records, casting, and associated budgets, partnering with the Director of Digital Production to ensure creative and financial objectives are met.
- Own cost report review and ongoing budget tracking, partnering with the Director of Digital Production, and actively participate in Finance and Production cost report meetings to flag risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Initiate and manage contract generation for crew and external vendors, serving as a primary point of contact with Legal on contract status for independent contractors, composers, and vendors.
- Lead crew planning and staffing execution in partnership with the Director of Digital Production and Artist Management, ensuring staffing plans align with approved budgets and schedules.
- Participate in interviews and the hiring process as needed to support the Director of Digital Production and / or project leadership in identifying and hiring strong project-fit talent.
- Represent production in project leadership meetings, providing clear updates and taking accountability for action items tied to schedule, workflow, and budget outcomes.
- Work with the Digital production team to proactively identify and resolve production challenges.
- Work with the Digital production team to ensure data is collected and evaluated against project assumptions on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor production health, flagging schedule, scope, or budget risks early and recommend mitigation strategies to the Director of Digital Production.
- Ensure all production work meets studio standards and is completed within the established deadlines.
- Directly supervise assigned departments and oversee Production Coordinators, providing mentorship and feedback.
- Monitor crew attendance and manage payroll processing.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Producer or Production Manager for either CG or 2D animated episodic productions, ideally with knowledge in pre-pro and production
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to clearly set priorities, manage expectations, and drive alignment across Artists and Creative teams
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional creative teams and take initiative in fast-paced production
