We are seeking a talented CG Lighting Artist to craft and refine the final look of assigned shots.
Reporting to: Lighting Department Supervisor (Team Lead)
Purpose: To create set & character light rigs for designated shows, in line with the workflow and pipeline needs, and to a consistent style and the quality level required.
Delivery:
- Set & character Light Rigs
- Optimized render setup for scene files.
Measurements:
- Asset tracking
- Shot completion
- Lighting rigs ready for use in production
- Completion of tasks within agreed schedule
- Handling of revisions and tweaks effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and fine tuning the direct lighting, reflections, shadows and final compositing for each assigned shot, working with the resources and appropriate level of support provided.
- Completing assigned light sequences.
Key Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the overall 3d asset creation pipeline and workflow.
- Set dressing and instancing. Previz to modelling workflow.
Experience:
- Working as a Lighting Artist (or similar position) in either broadcast or feature film work.
- With shot & asset tracking systems (desirable).
- VRay (desirable).
Technical Skills:
- Applied skills with a production renderer; VRay & Arnold (desirable).
- Proficient with Maya (essential).
- Nuke (desirable).
Salary: 65,000.00 - 75,000.00
Additional Information: The salary range for this role is $65,000 – $75,000 per year. We consider several factors in determining salary offers including experience, skills, qualifications, and education.
