Compositor

We are currently looking for an Online Compositor to join our talented team here at our Dublin Studio. The successful candidate will create high-quality compositing, VFX, clean-up, rotoscoping, paint work, along with a variety of other techniques on designated shots within an agreed scope and in creative collaboration with Production and Post Production teams.
This is a Fixed-Term, 8 week contract based in our Dublin Studio. Please note that our studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.
Responsibilities:
- Compositing and FX work at Online stage in appropriate software (e.g. Unreal Engine, Nuke & DaVinci Resolve/Fusion, PhotoShop), ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and to the highest of standards and that the Client, Director and Art Director's creative visions are met
- Working in tandem with an Online Editor as part of an Online team to finish episodes
- Undertaking tasks including: advanced compositing, FX, paint & clean-up tasks; intermediate-level colour grading
- Exporting work for the final Online timelines to spec and in a consistent and organised way
- Managing and clearly organising projects and templates compatible with BBF Online Dept standards
- Backing-up and archiving of work on an ongoing basis
- Attending on-site viewing sessions with Directors and Art Directors, as part of the Online team
- Working ahead on upcoming episodes that have not yet entered Online to alleviate pressure in future
- Providing guidance to the Post team with regards to Online issues
- Keeping up to date with emerging broadcast technologies, compositing workflows and file formats
- Closely working with and taking instruction from Series Directors and Art Directors
- Collaborating with the broader Post team in the delivery of departmental goals
Requirements:
Knowledge:
- Skilled in online finishing, grading compositing, effects
- Knowledge of video technology, delivery specs and file formats
- Ability to manage attended viewings
- An understanding of online finishing & overall post workflows
Experience:
- Experience in online, grading, compositing experience in episodic television and/or 3D animated productions
- Track record of working effectively with all levels of production crew, artistic staff and management
Technical Skills:
- Online editing in Flame, Resolve or equivalent software
- Applied use of Shotgrid (desirable)
- Applied use of HDR (desirable)
