About the Role

Location: On-site in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Employment type: Full‑time, 40 hours per week

Duties:

  • Maintain and improve automated build, packaging, and deployment pipelines for Path of Exile.
  • Troubleshoot build failures.
  • Optimise the reliability, speed, and visibility of builds and related tools.
  • Manage build infrastructure, including servers, scripts, and supporting services.
  • Maintain version‑control workflows and automation around branching, merging, and release management.
  • Work to strict deadlines and schedules, especially around releases and milestone delivery.

  • Buildbot
  • ZFS
  • Subversion
  • Microsoft and Linux distributions (Windows, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
  • Python
  • Bash
  • C++

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Build Engineer role or a Bachelor’s degree in IT or Software Engineering.
  • Strong scripting or programming ability in languages such as Python, Bash, or C++.
  • Experience with continuous integration and build‑automation systems.
  • Experience with system diagnostics, troubleshooting server faults, and performance analysis.
  • Benchmarking, load testing, and performance‑profiling experience.
  • Understanding of C++ applications and debugging tools.

Additional information:

  • The interview process includes a basic scripting aptitude test.
