About the Role
Location: On-site in Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.
Employment type: Full‑time, 40 hours per week
Duties:
- Maintain and improve automated build, packaging, and deployment pipelines for Path of Exile.
- Troubleshoot build failures.
- Optimise the reliability, speed, and visibility of builds and related tools.
- Manage build infrastructure, including servers, scripts, and supporting services.
- Maintain version‑control workflows and automation around branching, merging, and release management.
- Work to strict deadlines and schedules, especially around releases and milestone delivery.
Technologies used:
- Buildbot
- ZFS
- Subversion
- Microsoft and Linux distributions (Windows, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
- Python
- Bash
- C++
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a Build Engineer role or a Bachelor’s degree in IT or Software Engineering.
- Strong scripting or programming ability in languages such as Python, Bash, or C++.
- Experience with continuous integration and build‑automation systems.
- Experience with system diagnostics, troubleshooting server faults, and performance analysis.
- Benchmarking, load testing, and performance‑profiling experience.
- Understanding of C++ applications and debugging tools.
