Recent Projects & Creative Momentum: Brown Bag Films is currently experiencing a period of strong creative momentum. Recent launches include two animated projects for Netflix – Dr. Seuss’ The Sneetches and Horton! – along with the second season of Disney's RoboGobo.

Position Details:

  • This is a Fixed-Term, 5-Month contract based in Dublin.
  • The studio operates on a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week required in the studio.
  • The successful candidate must have the right to work in Ireland for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create high-quality 3D environments and assets to include terrain, architecture, foliage, props, and set dressing.
  • Utilise Unreal Engine and Autodesk Maya to construct and refine environments for optimal performance and visual quality.
  • Collaborate closely with the art team to ensure environments align with artistic vision and production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to environment creation and integration.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Unreal Engine features and industry’s best practices.
  • Working to maintain the Brown Bag modelling pipeline.
  • Developing environment modelling workflows and techniques.

Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of the overall 3D asset creation pipeline and workflow; set dressing and instancing; previz to modelling workflow.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a 3D Environment artist in TV, film, or related industries using Unreal Engine. (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya.
  • Use of asset tracking systems (e.g. Shotgrid) and Speed tree (desirable).

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to optimise assets for performance without compromising visual quality. A strong portfolio showcasing environment work in Unreal Engine.
